About Me

My name is Ellen Kovalenko, and I'm based in Berlin, Germany. I've been in the industry for over a decade, but my journey started 20 years ago when my interest in tech led me to take a programming course and build my first website. This sparked my interest in user experience, inspiring me to pursue a master's degree in design.

I have a natural ability to analyze situations, identify patterns, and envision the bigger picture. This helps me spot opportunities and anticipate potential challenges before they arise. My decisive nature and strategic thinking enable me to easily navigate complex challenges, always seeking simple and innovative solutions.
I'm someone people turn to for advice. I'm good at motivating and inspiring and I like to help people and teams reach their full potential. I don't shy away from changing the status quo. I perform at my best in dynamic, outcome-oriented environments that welcome meaningful change.

I'm curious, so I like to expand my knowledge. This could involve reading books on leadership and management, listening to podcasts about technology or physics, or trying new recipes and visiting new places. I'm also a fan of fashion, good films, sci-fi, cultural events, and traveling, especially to the seaside (Greece is my new favorite). I love spending time outdoors because connecting with nature lets me clear my mind and recharge my energy.

I enjoy meeting new people and engaging in interesting conversations over a cup of coffee. I strive to stay positive and open to new experiences while making a difference in the world and a positive impact on the lives of others.

03. Collaboration is crucial to my approach, and I work to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, marketers, and executives.

04. I place a high value on leadership abilities and strive to inspire and motivate others while driving projects forward and making tough decisions when necessary.

05. Adaptability is key in this fast-paced work environment, and I am always ready to adjust my design approaches as needed to ensure successful outcomes.

06. Continuous learning is a core value of mine. I am committed to staying up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and techniques to continually improve my work and contribute to the success of my team and organization.

07. As a neurodivergent, I use my unique strengths and perspectives to approach problem-solving in a fresh and innovative way. I think outside the box and offer alternative viewpoints to find creative solutions. My strong critical thinking and pattern recognition skills help me uncover hidden opportunities.
